Is Work Available?

"Employment of electrical line workers installers and repairers is projected to grow 8% from 2023 to 2033, which is faster than the average for all occupations." as stated by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. There is projected to be an average of 10,700 openings per year over the next 10 years for electrical line workers installers and repairers. This is due to retirement and occupation changes. The need for line workers is expected to grow due to the increasing electrical grid needs. Also, the increasing use of electric vehicles will require electrical line workers to install and maintain new grid connections. More electrical line workers will also be needed to assist with the interstate power grid as it continues to become more complex to ensure the daily proper functioning of the grid.
